Possible Problems

When you use this feature for the first time you might be prompted to download a piece of 'Java' software. This is perfectly normal and safe and is essential for this feature of the Aberffraw.org website.

If you are using Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) as your web browser, (this is standard on new computers, or you might have 'upgraded' to IE7) the moving panorama feature might not work at the moment. Earlier versions of Internet Explorer work fine.

If you are keen to see these panoramas there are two possible routes:

a) We suggest that you download the 'Firefox ' web browser. This browser is a free download and most computer professionals consider it to be far superior to Internet Explorer  - for a start web pages load more quickly, it is more secure. You are also prompted to download software such as 'Java' and 'Flash Player' that might be needed to view web pages properly. If you would like to download 'Firefox' click here . When it is downloaded and installed click on the 'Mozilla Firefox' icon on your computer desktop and use it just like Internet Explorer.

b) Alter the settings on IE7 by doing the following:

1) 'Right click' the Internet Explorer icon on your computer desktop and 'left click' 'Properties'

2) On the 'Internet Properties' top menu click 'Security' and then 'Custom level...'

3) Scroll down the long list until you reach, "Allow websites to prompt for information using scripted windows". Click 'Enable' and then click 'OK' at the bottom of the box.

4) Close this window and IE7.

5) Restart IE7 and revisit Aberffraw.org - Galleries - Panoramas
