Email 11: 9/11/07Cad sends greetings and feels that he should let his public know of the exciting plans for Aberffraw that are making progress at this very moment. Lack of Opportunities Cad is concerned about the lack of opportunities, facilities and amenities in Aberffraw, both for residents and visitors – particularly during the long winter months. He regrets the opportunity that Aberffraw missed when the dunes were not developed into a prestigious leisure park. Aberffraw Bay could have been just like Kinmel Bay but brasher, louder, more visually challenging and more exciting – but it’s too late now. He doubts, however, that it could have reached the heights of Jaywick. Caravan Park He feels strongly that the village has missed out on the many opportunities that have been seized by other communities. He particularly admires the coastal caravan park developments that are such a feature from Conwy to Prestatyn and beyond. The railway journey wouldn’t be the same without the visual impact of the carefully designed holiday parks laid out with such geometric precision. The 'Aberffraw Experience' However, Cad has plans that he intends to put to the landowner and the Anglesey planning department that will enhance and improve Aberffraw forever. He noticed that in an around the village there a number of under utilised facilities and vacant land that could and should be put to better use. His plan is to set up Anglesey’s first super casino in one of these large buildings. This is the first part of what he intends will become ‘The Aberffraw Experience’. Influential People Cad has been consulting suitable influential people with status who would be interested in becoming partners in his exciting plans. So far he has firm expressions of interest from two well known and highly regarded ‘names’ with international recognition and standing. The first is in the construction industry, who for the time being, doesn’t wish to be named except as ‘Bob’. The second is a Welsh ‘Hero next door’, well known on TV, who formerly worked for the Fire and Rescue service in South Wales, but is now using his name to promote worthwhile causes. The Aberffraw Casino - Llewelyn's Palace Cad is well aware that there might be some opposition to his plans but he is prepared to use all his powers of persuasion (and those of Lud and her friends from Moldova) to get his plans adopted. The casino will be entirely in sympathy with Aberffraw’s historic royal past. It’s to be called Llewelyn’s Palace and it will be run along similar lines to Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. There are also plans to develop the moorings into the Aberffraw Marina, which will be home to the Royal Aberffraw Yacht Club in order to attract multi-millionaires to the casino. Cad will be writing again soon with more exciting news.
