News of Felicity (Flick) Funnell (formerly Fishwick)

Felicity (Flick) Funnell (formerly Fishwick) sends greetings from sunny Southport. She spent the happiest year of her life in Aberffraw and was heart-broken when she had to leave.

Since leaving Aberffraw Flick has led a varied and eventful life including a number of high points that are worthy of mention. In 1981 she was ‘Space Invaders’ champion of Skelmersdale. She won the ‘Most Promising Newcomer’ award in the Colwyn Bay Pier ‘Summer of ’82’ talent contest for her extraordinary juggling act. Best of all, in 1984 she was named ‘Most Likely to Succeed’ after she beat ‘Gripper’ Muldoon in the grand final of the Southport ladies wrestling competition (heavyweight division).

Flick gives no details of her family life or past and present relationships. However, she is keen to point out that she was definitely not drunk on the night when broke into the police station and lit a fire in the custody cell. It was cold night, the door to the police station was open and she couldn’t find the key to her front door. Llangefni magistrates were very understanding but Flick decided that, for this and a number of other reasons, a return to Aberffraw would not be wise. She asks, “Is it safe for her to return yet?”
