News of Idris Jones Mr Idris Jones who is now 69, disappeared from Aberffraw in mysterious circumstances 35 years ago. He says that his memories of the night of 23rd October 1972 are a bit of a blur, but he remembers receiving a huge round of applause for his rendition of 'Delilah' at the 'Prince' and then he woke up in Aukland, New Zealand in the arms of an olive-skinned, exotic young(ish) lady with an intricate tattoo of Celtic appearance on her right shoulder, who called herself ‘Gwyneth’ and who claimed that her father came from Dothan near Aberffraw. (All very strange. Ed.)
All who knew Idris will, no doubt, be pleased to hear that he is alive and well and living with his fourth wife, Gloriana (22) on the Pacific island of Tuvalu. His 13 children and many grandchildren live nearby. He lives a simple life with his herd of pedigree Welsh pigs. He said he frequently thought about Aberffraw and wants to return. If anyone can find suitable accommodation for him and all his family plus 18 pigs he would be very grateful. (If you can help please contact him via the editor.) |
